Initially, staff will be informed of the availability of the Employment Assistance Program (EAP). Note: As of May 13, 2019, a provision in section 24(1) of the Utilities Act 1999 will apply in addition to the 2016-2019 OAIC Enterprise Agreement (which will remain in effect until replaced by another enterprise agreement). The 2019 provision of the Public Service (Office of the Australian Information Commissioner Non-SES Employees) provides for salary increases of 2% per year on 13 May 2019, 13 May 2020 and 13 May 2021, as well as a one-time increase in allowances under clause 53.1 of the Enterpise Agreement to USD 33.70 per two weeks (an increase of 6%). 12.1 The OAIC is committed to providing quality professional public services. When implementing this agreement, the OAIC will act as an employer in an ethical and legal manner. In the implementation of this Agreement and in the performance of his or her duties, a staff member shall respect Australian values and the Code of Conduct for the Public Service and shall not behave in a manner contrary to the interests of the OAIC. 36.6 Paid leave during maternity leave shall be considered a service for all purposes. If a worker does not have a full year, the first 12 weeks (including leave without pay) are also counted for service. 38.1 A female worker may request additional leave without pay up to 52 weeks after maternity or parental leave.
